That's not a marketing line. It's a promise we make to every person who carries a Cochran knife — and we back it up every single day.

We recently repaired a knife that burned in a house fire. We did it free of charge. That's what For-Life means to us.

What The For-Life Promise Covers:

• Free lifetime sharpening. Ship any Cochran knife back to us at 41920 N River Dr, Sweet Home, OR 97386. We'll sharpen it and ship it back to you — free. No limit. No expiration. Forever. We pay the return shipping.
• Repair or replace any defect. If something goes wrong with normal use we make it right. No questions asked. No fine print. If you decide to use your knife as a hammer and break it, we'll still help you — we may just charge for that one.
• The promise passes with the knife. When you hand this knife to your kids the promise goes with it. That's what built to last actually means.

What The For-Life Promise Doesn't Cover:

• Intentional damage or abuse beyond normal use.
• Lost or stolen knives.
• Normal wear such as handle patina or minor scratches from field use.

How to Send Your Knife In:

1. Pack your knife safely in a box.
2. Include your name, phone number, email address, and a brief description of what you need — sharpening, repair, or other.
3. Ship to: Cochran Knife Company, 41920 N River Dr, Sweet Home, OR 97386.
4. We'll sharpen or repair it and ship it back to you free of charge.
